A Private Vespa Ride* to the Castelli Romani & Traditional Porchetta Lunch

Tour Description

Enjoy a private Vespa escape to the Castelli Romani — and be enchanted by their history, landscapes, and timeless flavours.

Your private Vespa adventure begins at our office, where your dedicated English-speaking guide welcomes you before leading you toward your first destination: Castelli Romani and the lakeside town of Castel Gandolfo. Leave the city behind and enjoy a fully exclusive journey — no shared groups, no fixed pacing — just the freedom of exploring the Castelli Romani entirely your way.

In Castel Gandolfo, long-time summer residence of Popes, you’ll explore the charming historic center, admire the Apostolic Palace from the outside, wander through the magnificent Barberini Gardens, and take in sweeping views over the crystal-blue waters of Lake Albano.

Continue to Frascati, where elegance and tradition come together. Here, your guide will share stories of noble families, power, and art that shaped one of Lazio’s most historic towns.

Finally, ride to Ariccia, the Baroque masterpiece designed by Gian Lorenzo Bernini. See Palazzo Chigi from the outside, admire its iconic piazza and monumental bridge, and then treat yourself to one of the region’s most beloved culinary treasures: a freshly made panino with Ariccia’s legendary porchetta — crispy, aromatic, tender, and bursting with flavour. A true highlight of local cuisine, and the perfect way to wrap up your private adventure!

*Important for your safety:
  1. Only confident, experienced scooter drivers can take part in this tour. “Experienced” means having ridden a scooter or motorcycle multiple times recently (at least 10 times). E-bikes and kick scooters do not count. Your safety — and your enjoyment — come first.
  2. Children can join the tour, but only if they are able to safely reach the foot pegs while sitting as passengers on the Vespa. As a reference, this typically requires an inside leg measurement of approximately 55 cm. Children who cannot comfortably reach the foot pegs will not be able to participate for safety reasons.
